This stranger than fiction story of Kathryn Day (aka Kate) and Katherine Day (aka Nina) who met at university while studying Oenology. Separately they embarked on award winning winemaking journeys both here in Australia and across the globe. Then among the clinking of fabulous fizz and vintage vino, a chance meeting at Kate’s wedding saw Nina meet and fall in love with the best man; the identical twin brother of Kate’s husband!
In Two Minds Wines is about so much more than this unlikely duo, although let’s be honest it’s a pretty good start for a wine company! Grape growing, like all agricultural endeavours, is about taking things day by day (pun intended), adapting to the seasons, ducking and weaving through the challenges that nature creates, and most importantly celebrating the small wins every single day. Decisions are rarely black and white, and being In Two Minds – both metaphorically and literally in our case – means we can create bold, exciting wines with the expertise of two flexible open minds.
