The obsession with seeking great Pinot growing areas has also seen the Giant Steps team go as far south as you can go in Australia sourcing fruit from the Coal River Valley in Tasmania.
Today, the winery is regarded as one of the most progressive in Australia and is recognized globally for its pursuit of site expression. Led by Head of Winemaking and Viticulture Melanie Chester, who joined the business in 2021, the Single Vineyard wines are among the most anticipated releases from Australia and considered benchmarks for the Yarra Valley.
