Melbourne’s Prosecco Festival is BACK!

Prosecco lovers rejoice. The Prosecco Festival is back for its SIXTH year! Taking place in Melbourne on Saturday 25th February 2023.

The stunning Abbotsford Convent is set to play host to the 6th annual Prosecco Festival, brought to you by sparkling wine expert, Melissa Brauer, AKA The Prosecco Queen.

Bringing together Prosecco from Italy and Australia, in a range of styles – from the cloudy, unfiltered bone-dry ‘Col Fondo’ Prosecco to more fruit-forward offerings. There is also some extra special treats such as sparkling Moscato and a brand new Lambrusco from Pizzini Wines (forget what you think you know about Lambrusco, it’s a dry, luscious affair that bears no resemblance to the old vino of the 80’s!).

With over 40 different wines to try, there is something for everyone, as well as the opportunity to learn more about the world’s most popular sparkling wine!

The wine lineup includes:

Italy: Rigoni, Cester Camillo, Calneggia, Babo, Divici, Rebuli, Bandini, and Kylie Minogue

Australia: Dal Zotto, Brown Brothers, Pizzini Wines, Box Grove Vineyard, Billy Button Wines, See Saw Wines, Tar and Roses, Vinea Marson, De Bortoli, Vino Intrepido and Austin’s Wines.

Other sparkling wines will also be available for tasting including Lambrusco and Moscato as well as Sidro Del Bosco Italian cider, local craft beer from Molly Rose, and non-alcoholic options thanks to Sip & Enjoy.

Food options include Arancini Art, Abruzzo Lab Arrosticini, Il Panzerotto ( A Taste of Puglia), Milawa Cheese, The Pav Queen and more to come!

As always, Australia’s first mobile Prosecco and Spritz bar, Van Di Vino, will be serving up the good times with Aperol Spritzes on the lawn, as well as the famous Bellini (peach pureé and Prosecco) which originates from Harry’s Bar in Venice. And look out for specially-crafted Prosecco Mocktails thanks to Brown Brothers.

Expect good tunes, good food and good vibes from this ever-popular day out which sees visitors returning year after year, dressed to impress.

Two session times are available 11am-3pm or 4.30pm-8.30pm. Tickets include all tastings of wines & beers, a beautiful tulip-shaped Plumm sparkling wine tasting glass that’s yours to keep, a Festival program and a tote bag which holds up to two bottles of wine for take-home purchases.

There’s also an option to level up and go VIP, meaning your day will kick off with an exclusive Prosecco Masterclass hosted by The Prosecco Queen, with a special appearance from Festival sponsors Dal Zotto wines, where you’ll try a range of different wines, paired with antipasto and cheese, as well as complimentary Aperol Spritzes.
