What happened in Perth with Battle of Bosworth & Spring Seed Wines

Only days earlier Perth was experiencing some of its worst winter weather, but on the night of our Perth Fabulous Ladies Wine Soiree with Battle of Bosworth & Spring Seed Wines the sky was clear and the air almost balmy!

The fabulous wine loving women of Perth gathered en masse (it was another sell-out crowd!) on the waterfront at Matilda Bay Restaurant to meet the uber fabulous Louise Hemsley-Smith and try her 100% certified organic labels from McLaren Vale. Louise’s family vineyards, planted by her husband’s parents the Bosworths, produce two labels – both of which are certified organic: Battle of Bosworth (a reference to the real historical battle thanks to the family name!) and Spring Seed Wines. And we tried plenty of wines from both portfolios during the night!

Instead of the usual long winded stories about ‘vineyard health’ and ‘months spent on lees’ Louise regaled guests with an hilarious love story of how she locked eyes with Joch Bosworth across a crowded pub while the footy was on – and the rest, as they say, is history.

It was the first time Louise had ever visited Perth, and from the reaction of our guests to both her and her wines, we don’t think it will be the last!
