We all like a bit of red carpet action, and we were hopeful of a good result, but nothing could prepare us for the thrill of hearing Jane Thomson’s name announced as the winner of the ‘Digital Wine Communicator of the Year’ at the Wine Communicators of Australia Awards in Sydney on November 20.

Some of the feedback we received from the judges – who were Mike Bennie (current Digital Communicator of the Year), Kristen Boschma (GM, The Social Hatch) and Angus Barnes (Orlando Wines, Business Development/WCA Director) – included “fantastic tailoring of content across all channels, as they survey their audience regularly and ask what they’d like to see”, “great content that weaves events, wine education and sociability” and “Creativity is high, events promoted well, digital content executed strategically, creative and engaging”.
What the judges didn’t mention though, is that we are NOTHING without the community that is behind us. You. So we want to take this chance to thank you for all your incredible support over the last 18 months. And here’s to many more fabulous wine-loving years ahead!!
