Queensland Wine Awards 2013

Just when you thought Queensland couldn’t get any more perfect…comes the realisation that they’ve actually got a rapidly growing and recognised wine industry!

That industry is coming together on September 3 and 4 for the 30th Queensland Wine Awards. The awards recognise Queensland Winemaker of the Year, Queensland Viticulturist of the Year, Winery of the Year and there will also be awards and medals for wines in various classes of judging.

Additional awards will be made for Cellar Door of the Year, Most Supportive Retailer, Social Media Commentator, Press Commentator and Community Event. Finally, the Samuel Bassett Award will be presented in recognition of a person who, over time, has contributed substantially to the advancement of the industry.

The Judging will take place on September 3, a Trade and Industry Masterclass will be held on the afternoon of September 4 and the Awards Presentation Dinner will held at the South Bank Institute of Technology Restaurant, 66 Ernest St South Brisbane on the evening of September 4.

The awards dinner is open to anyone to attend!
