Soil Shallow sandy loam over rocks typical of Eden Valley
Season A long, dry and moderate summer allowed us to make all harvest decisions purely on berry ripeness. Therefore the resulting wine has a wonderful freshness and vibrancy
Winemaking A hand-picked whole bunch component was spread over the base of the open fermenter before putting the destemmed portion on top. Cool fermentation with pumpovers for 10 days before pressing and immediate transfer on solids to seasoned French oak.
Maturation The last throws of fermentation and malolactic fermentation were on lees in oak followed by further maturation in seasoned French oak. 7 months total time in oak.
ALC/VOL 14.5%
Winemaker Comments “We are really excited about our Eden Valley Shiraz. The slightly higher altitude of the vineyard means cooler nights and less intense maximum daytime temperatures allow great aromatic presence and a nervy fine tannin profile. All the hallmark flavours are here, wrapped up in a delicious youthful, savoury and vibrant package. – Cheers,” Jules

We are pleased to be freighting our wines through the Australia Post Wine Service. Australia Post are advising that there are delays in delivery at this time due to increased volumes in their system. Delivery may take up to 10+ working days.
Australia Post have advised that all parcels – be it at a Post Office or at a residence – will no longer require a signature for delivery or collection. If you would like to have your parcel left at your address if you are not there, rather than needing to go to the post office to collect it, at the checkout please tick the box that you give authority for the delivery to be left and provide the instructions for the location eg under side verandah. If you provide authority to leave the delivery, Small Victories Wine Co is not liable for any loss or damage to the parcel once delivery has been confirmation by Australia Post.

DELIVERY ATTEMPTS
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all delivery information is correct at the time of placing an order.
Non-delivery due to inaccurate information or unforeseen circumstances will be charged as per the agreed prices.
Goods requiring re-direction to an alternative address will incur an additional delivery fee. Futile delivery due to an inability to gain access to the premises resulting in a new delivery will incur an additional delivery fee. Any re-deliveries that occur due to incorrect address details, or if the recipient is unavailable for delivery, will incur an additional delivery fee.
