Description

Pale garnet in colour, the nose shows attractive characters of wild strawberries and cream, pansies, rosewater and dried cranberry. The palate is delicately light and refreshing, light to medium bodied with predominant flavours of sweet cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal. A whisper of nutmeg on the finish from light oak handling.

The 2021/2022 growing season was predominantly mild with a long ripening period. High rainfall in December was thankfully followed by some relief in January with the arrival of dry warm weather, giving us the chance to make a Sangiovese with a fresh medium bodied flavour profile with a plush feel.
