Mudgee Wine and Food Festival: 9 Sep-2 Oct 2017

The Mudgee Region is just a 3.5 hour car ride from Sydney in the Central West of NSW. Famous for it’s excellent Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, Mudgee is also the modern home of Australia’s first Chardonnay plantings, as well as Italian varietals Sangiovese and Barbera which thrive in the Mediterranean climate.

There are over 35 cellar doors in the Mudgee Region. That’s more than you thought, right? And plenty more than you can get through in just one weekend (and don’t say we’re underestimating you…). Luckily, the annual Mudgee Wine and Food Festival runs over several weekends from 9th September right through to the 2nd October, so there’s plenty of time to see and experience all the delights of the region.

Cellar door events during the festival include live music, special lunches and dinners, the Mudgee Wine Show public tasting, as well as the popular ‘Go Tasting’ and ‘Go Grazing’ events.

Contact the Mudgee Region Visitor Information Centre on (02) 6372 1020 or visit the website for all the details of planned events.
