Oh, Mudgee. Could you have the most adorable name of any wine region in the world today? We just want to pinch your cheeks and pat you on the head every time we say your name.
Don’t let the name fool you of course, the quality of wine coming out of Mudgee these days is absolutely world class. And there’s no better way to experience Mudgee’s exploding wine and food culture than by heading there for the Mudgee Food and Wine Festival 2013 from September 13 – 28.
This celebration of the food and wine of the Mudgee region encompasses two full weeks of events and attractions in and around the town. Individual businesses, wineries, restaurants, and producers have collaborated to showcase the best of what the region has to offer.

Enjoy the journey as you make your way around the room sampling the first offerings of canapés and wines. Once you have sampled them all, it’s time to start the trail again! This time enjoy the second “made to match” round of wines and canapés or desserts. Between each round have a chance to vote on which wines are best matched with their accompanying foods.

Taste local wines, fresh regional produce and immerse yourself in all things Mudgee with local bands to entertain and art to inspire.
