Deep Woods Estate

Jimmy Watson winning WA reds, and classic white wines

Why Are They So Fabulous?

Well, there is that little thing called the Jimmy Watson that Deep Woods Estate picked up.

What’s the Jimmy you ask? Just the Trophy for the Best Young Red Wine in Australia awarded at the Melbourne International Wine Show.

It’s befitting, given that the Margaret River is premium Cabernet country.

Chardonnay is the other signature local variety, which Deep Woods does very well too.

Don’t stop there though, the crack winemaking team also turn their hands to great examples of Rosé, Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc.

What Wines Should I Try?

Deep Woods Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot – The Merlot adds a mellow chocolate note to the Cabernet in this Trophy (2016) and 2 Gold Medal (2016) winning wine.

Deep Woods Estate Rosé – Just the highest scoring rosé in Australia’s Halliday Wine Companion 2017. Expect aromas of redcurrant and cherry, dusting of spice and some almost savoury, meaty flavours. It’s fleshy, and well balanced in the mouth, with balanced acidity, slight earthiness and subtle sweetness of red fruits.

Deep Woods Estate “Ivory” Semillon Sauvignon Blanc – the Margaret River’s signature blend here is the perfect drink for Summer!
