Artwine

New-emerging varieties, stunning views and platters

Why are they so fabulous?

Occasionally you come across a wine brand where there’s absolutely nothing you don’t love. That’s how we feel about Artwine.

Whenever we’ve tried their wines – whether it be new vintage releases or brand new varieties – we’ve always oohed and aaahed in adoration.

It’s not just us, either.

Artwine won 6 Trophies at the Clare Valley Wine Show 2016, all for alternative varieties in the traditional stronghold of the Clare Valley.

In 2018 they were awarded THE Wine of Show, along with the Best White and the International Judges Award for their Gruner Veltliner at the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show.

In 2019 they achieved for the second year back to back wins of the Winestate Best Alternative White of the Year, the Best Alternative white at the Sydney Royal Wine Show and the Rutherglen Wine show.

We’re crazy about them. And their stunning cellar door in the Adelaide Hills is a must-visit when you’re in the area. It also doubles as a permanent art gallery (hence the ‘art’ wine!) and so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time when you pop in.

Which wines should you try?

With a reputation and passion for alternative varietals and more than 480 trophies and medals achieved in just their first twelve years, it seems others agree with us about just how fabulous their wines really are!

From their stunning Wicked Stepmother Fiano one of their flagship white wines that never fails to win medals or trophies and to their recent Prosecco to their triple Trophy Montepulciano Artwine are pumping out delicious and high quality wines at very attractive price points from their own vineyards (which are located in both the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley).

Artwine currently produce 18 wines, and grow 14 different varieties with three new “alternatives (new-emerging) varieties being planted in 2020, and are fortunate to have amongst their vineyards some very special 100 year old Grenache vines. They are the first in the Adelaide Hills to have an estate grown Prosecco and have released the only Adelaide Hills first Albariño (a beautiful white wine with origins in Spain & Portugal) grown on their Hills vineyard.

AND … ALL of their wines are Vegan!
