Melissa Hunter (Mel)
Mel is the numbers whiz behind the wine, our CFO and resident spreadsheet sorceress. With over 20 years as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor, she’s the calm in the storm, the budget balancer, and the one who makes sure the wine flows and the bills get paid. She also runs our Wine Club with flair and keeps the wholesale wheels turning. Her secret to a thriving business partnership with husband Mark? “Plenty of fabulous Heathcote Shiraz.” We’ll drink to that!

Jodi and Mel, sisters-in-law, business partners, and wine-loving dynamos; bring their unique talents to the table (and the cellar). Jodi’s strategic sparkle and Mel’s financial finesse have helped grow Sanguine into a thriving, award-winning brand. Their shared love of innovation and authenticity drives everything they do, from expanding the wine range to creating unforgettable experiences for their members.

Her creative flair is woven throughout the property, from the meticulously landscaped gardens and her guidance in shaping the new cellar door’s design and furnishings, to her elegant home on the hill that overlooks the picturesque estate. Lyn’s eye for detail and timeless style has helped shape the warm, welcoming aesthetic that defines Sanguine.
Together, these women have carved out a space in a traditionally male-dominated industry, proudly co-founding the Heathcote Women in Wine Group, a vibrant collective of trailblazing women who are changing the game and raising a glass to each other.
