For the first time ever, the Barossa is bringing the iconic Barossa Wine Auction to Sydney! Taking place on Thursday 29th April 2021 from 6:30pm at the Hyatt Regency Sydney. And Jane Thomson, founder of The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society, is the MC for this special event, which means all fabulous ladies attending will be receiving some very special attention indeed!
So if you’re in Sydney, or can get yourself there, we’d LOVE you to be part of it. There are 30 exclusive wine and experience lots that will go under the hammer that night, and we reckon some of them have your name all over them. Check out the full list up for grabs here.
Upon arrival, get your thirst quenched by a glass of Barossa’s finest. Then grab your bidding paddle, head into dinner and let the fun begin!
Dinner will be on shared tables of 10. You’ll be allocated a table upon booking, or why not gather your friends and book a whole table for yourselves?!
Eight lucky FLWS guests will also have the opportunity to join our Mistress of Ceremonies Jane Thomson’s table for the evening! Just select The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society ticket option when booking.
Barossa winemakers will be on hand ready to regale you with stories of dedication, experimentation, friendship and how iconic brands were formed at dining tables, in vineyards, sheds, and the front verandahs of pubs. We’ve heard they’re raiding the hidden depths of the cellar, to bring you their favourite wines, those normally reserved for only very good friends on special occasions!
Never done a wine auction before? Never fear! The Langton’s Fine Wines team, including Australian Women in Wine Awards Woman of Inspiration 2018, Tamara Grischy, will be on hand to guide you through the auction process.
But you don’t have to bid on anything to buy a ticket and come along. You are welcome to come and enjoy the atmosphere, meet some of the Barossa’s biggest personalities and enjoy a sumptuous dinner accompanied by some stunning Barossa wines.
If you do decide to bid – and we hope that you do! – it’s good to know that all wines in the auction come with their provenance assured. They are sourced directly from the wineries’ own collections and are marked with the new Seal of Provenance. Delivered by Cellr, the Barossa Seal of Provenance offers great customer protection and connection back to the winemakers through its NFD technology.
