In partnership with Travelling Divas

The experience of a lifetime for all champagne loving women!

Can you hear the sound of corks popping? Our 2020 tour to the heartland of sparkle – the Champagne region of France – is now finally unveiled! Having taken tours of fabulous ladies in both 2015 & 2016 we know it’s well past time to take a whole new group of you over to experience the true wonder of Champagne. And this time, our partnership with Australia’s leading female travel company, Travelling Divas, will provide our guests with an even more seamless and luxurious travel experience.

We’ll spend two glorious days together in the city of lights (Paris) before whisking you away in private vehicle to Champagne for six nights staying in historic chateaus. We’ll then return to Paris for our final night.

Exclusive, private guided visits to both large and small champagne houses – with a focus on female producers – plus exquisite dining, tours of historic sites and more.

Each day is full of exceptional experiences and special surprises you cannot find anywhere else.

Please note that this itinerary is subject to change without notice. A final schedule will be sent to you approximately one month before departure.

Thursday 8 October 2020: Welcome to Paris & your Fabulous Ladies Getaway!

Arrive into Paris, and check into the gorgeous Sofitel Baltimore. Tonight we meet in the beautiful hotel restaurant for a welcome champagne dinner and tour briefing. A wonderful chance to get to know your hosts and each other!

*Check-in is at 2pm, so if you arrive early the hotel will store your baggage if your room is not ready.

Friday 9 October 2020: Creating a ‘scents’ of wonder

Before we take you the champagne region we want to have all your senses ready. So we’re starting the morning with decadent perfume masterclass at one of Paris’ most famous and historic perfumeries!

Once your olfactory system is firing on all cylinders, and you’ve found your signature scent, we’ll take you to the quintessentially Parisian Baccarat Brasserie for a delicious champagne lunch.

You’re then free to spend the remaining hours of the afternoon / evening exploring Paris at your leisure.

Saturday 10 October 2020: Time to sparkle!

After breakfast and check-out we say farewell to Paris and are whisked away by private vehicle to the heart of sparkle – Champagne!

Our very first stop will be at the most historic champagne house of all, Ruinart. After a private tour of their World Heritage Listed champagne caves, we’ll enjoy a sip (or two!) in their luxury tasting room.

After checking in at the altogether too fabulous Chateau de Rilly we will be chauffeured to Les Crayères in Reims for a beautiful three course meal at Les Jardins.

Sunday 11 October 2020: Grand vs Artisan

Sleep in and enjoy a leisurely breakfast in our historic Chateau de Rilly before we take you to the grand Champagne Taittinger for a guided visit and tasting. This will be followed by a delightful champagne Sunday lunch at Taittinger’s Chateau Marquetterie.

On the way home we’re going to pop into see and taste more champagne with an artisan, smaller producer for an excellent contrast in size and style of house. We’ll then return to the chateau for dinner in their onsite restaurant.

Monday 12 October 2020: Champagne Dames and Queens

The gothic cathedral in the champagne town of Reims is where the Kings and Queens of France were crowned for over one thousand years. So, it’s definitely time for us to visit, right?! We’ll have our own private guided walking tour, which will also take in other key historic sights in in the township.

We’ll then walk a few streets over to the elegant maison of Champagne Jacquart, where one of champagne’s youngest female winemakers is at the helm. We’ll enjoy a tasting and a light lunch.

Then it’s on to pay homage to the grand dame herself – Veuve Cliquot! A tasting and visit to her famous cellars is how we’ll spend the afternoon. Dinner tonight is in a local little champagne bar nearby to our Chateau.

Tuesday 13 October 2020: Castles, widows and blanc de blancs

We’re checking out of our chateau this morning so we can take you to your next hotel, set in a medieveal castle! Complete with gardens, moat and canon shot marks in the thick stone walls. Welcome to Chateau d’Etoge. Oh, and did we mention the on-site, highly regarded l’orangarie restaurant with extensive champagne menu? Ooh la la!

But first up, after checking out, we head to Champagne Ployez-Jacquemart for a private tasting with their female winemaker. Then it’s en route to the Cote de Blanc area of champagne for a tour, tasting and lunch with the gorgeous brothers, Charles and Emmanuel, of Veuve Fourny. If we’re lucky, we may even spot their mother, the original Veuve (widow) Fourny, as she’s often still popping in to ensure the sons are keeping her name up to high standard!

We’ll then return to Chateau d’Etoge to get comfortable in our rooms before dinner on site at the restaurant.

Wednesday 14 October 2020: Absolutely fabulous!

Did somebody say Bolly, darling?! It’s time for the fabulous to get their fabulous on! Because today we are heading to Champagne Bollinger for a private visit and lunch. This is something extremely special indeed. You’ll even see the historic home of Lily Bollinger and hear all about the Ab Fab and James Bond connections with this famous champagne brand.

In the afternoon, we’re going to get our inner artist on for a delightful masterclass with the talented Caroline Brun at her historic home. Caroline is an acclaimed artist and champagne educator who uses champagne as inspiration for her artworks. She’ll provide a decadent afternoon tea with the class, and we’ll even sabre some champagne!

Dinner tonight is at leisure – if you can fit any more food in!

Thursday 15 October 2020: Girls on the Avenue

This morning it’s all about exploring the Avenue de Champagne in Epernay, and the surrounding famous town. Walk between world-leading champagne houses, do some shopping, or take the time to sit with a coffee and pastry. The morning is yours to enjoy!

Lunch is then at your leisure before we depart Epernay for a private visit and tasting at the famous grand maison of Laurent-Perrier.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit smaller producer Champagne Vesselle for a tasting before returning to for dinner at Chateau d’Etoges.

Friday 16 October 2020: The fabulous ladies of Champagne

It’s time to say goodbye to champagne and head back to Paris, but not without first meeting some of the “Les FA’Bulleuses” – a group of seven female champagne makers who have banded together to create a marketing power for their champagnes.

We then return to the city of lights for our final night back in the Sofitel Baltimore. Meet in the bar for a final champagne together. Dinner is at leisure.
