Is the Barossa on your bucket list? Now’s your chance to join us on an incredibly special, 4-day deep-dive into Australia’s most internationally famous wine region. And see for yourself why the land, the people and the wines of this area are so highly regarded the world over.

Departure dates for this year’s tour are 12 – 15 June 2025. If you love flavour-packed Barossa Valley reds, and crisp Eden Valley whites, you don’t want to miss this VIP long weekend of wine and food extravagance.

As always with our wine tours, it’s the extraordinary WOMEN of the region we’ll be visiting, trying the wines of and spending time with! They are opening up their cellars and gifting us their time to tell the Barossa story through their perspective. These special personal experiences with the women behind the wines are something you simply cannot get anywhere else!

You’ll be meeting an all-star line-up of Barossa women in wine, tasting their wines and hearing their incredible stories.

Plus there’s delicious fine dining, warm open fires, and the breathtaking scenery of the Barossa in winter.

As always, our tours are conducted in partnership with our travel-expert friends at Travelling Divas and are fully escorted by FLWS founder Jane Thomson OAM. With a maximum of just 12 guests, our tours are both intimate and loads of fun!

Come on your own and make new friends for life, or book in with a wine loving friend or two – single and twin share options are both available. We can’t wait to host you in the Barossa this June!

DAY 2 – FRIDAY 13 JUNE:  WINE ADVENTURES

This morning enjoy breakfast and then time for a tasting with a difference!

Your first stop is Small Victories Wine Co., where you will learn all about the beautiful wines and the art of ‘crisp’ matching. Jules and Bec Ashmead – sisters-in-law, running buddies and great friends have worked together for more than twelve years, and know all about great wine. Together they decided it was time to team up and make a range of wines that they and their friends love to drink. Wines that are fun, fresh and modern; wines that are ready to drink right now; wines that are just seriously delicious!  And this is what you will experience today.

Next stop Yalumba, one the oldest wineries in The Barossa.  Yalumba is celebrating their 175th birthday in 2024 and sixth generation family member Jess Hill-Smith is going to be welcoming us for a very special celebratory tasting experience!  You will also be hosted by Louisa Rose, who has spent the last 20 years as Head Winemaker at Yalumba. During her career at Yalumba, Louisa Rose has become one of the world’s most respected winemakers, and is passionate about creating great Australian wine. She has forged an identity for Australian Viognier, winning multiple awards in the process, and challenged perceptions of Barossa Shiraz, all while leading her viticultural and vinicultural teams to ever greater heights.

Before heading back to the hotel to dress for dinner, we’re going to whisk you to a secret vineyard location for some bubbles with a view! And you’ll here from a fourth generation woman of the Barossa just what is so special about living and making wine in this community.

Dinner tonight is at one of the Barossa’s best restaurants, Vintners.

Back to the hotel for a great night’s sleep after a gorgeous day and to get ready for tomorrow!!

Overnight accommodation: Novotel Barossa Valley Resort
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Cooking Time, Dinner & Wine Tastings as mentioned

DAY 3 – SATURDAY 14 JUNE:  FABULOUS WINES, GORGEOUS DINING AND SO MUCH MORE

Post breakfast depart for some leisure time to explore the lovely village of Tanunda.  There are some gorgeous homewares and antiques stores and boutiques, that will satisfy your retail craving desires and then it is time to head off for your first wine experience of the day.

First to the amazing Turkey Flat, where you will be hosted by the fabulous Christie Schulz. The Schulz family have been custodians of Turkey Flat since the 1860s. They have continued with the legacy laid down to grow vines and make wines that suit the landscape conditions. Today Christie Schulz is the fourth generation of the Schulz family to become caretaker of this remarkable estate. Extensive viticultural research has been undertaken in the vineyards, allowing Christie and her team to sensitively blend traditional Rhône varietals which speak confidently of their origin, with the 1847 Shiraz vines some of the oldest in Australia the centre piece of our family-owned estate, playing a vital role on the Barossa Valley’s rich cultural heritage.

Then this evening, you are away to Lou Miranda, for a casual night of platters and wine.  Great food and wine is best shared, and is central to the philosophy at Lou Miranda Estate. Named for their father Lou Miranda, his daughters, Lisa, Angela and Victoria run the family boutique Barossa vineyards, winery and cellar door with charming devotion to good old-fashioned Italian hospitality.

Return to the hotel, then to bed you go and tomorrow our final morning in this beautiful part of the world.
