Produced at De Bortoli’s Yarra Valley estate, the new Rococo Premium Cuvée channels sophistication, style and elegance. The packaging is reminiscent of the Rococo artworks of 18th Century Europe and this delicate blend of Chardonnay [86%], Pinot Noir [11%], and Pinot Meunier [3%] rivals some of the famous Champagne house blends that you already love – but this sparkling is 100% Australian.
De Bortoli Wines Chief Winemaker, Steve Webber, explains; “We decided to tweak the style of Rococo, so whilst still predominantly Chardonnay, we have introduced small quantities of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to the blend. This adds for a bit more breadiness and complexity. The base wines are still fermented and given extended lees contact to promote texture and softness before secondary fermentation.”
The fabulous Leanne De Bortoli says; “It’s just a really nice way to start, or finish, an evening” and we, at The Fabulous Ladies’ Wine Society have to agree!
Rococo Premium Cuvée has an RRP of $21.60 and is distributed nationally.
