Bremerton Selkirk Shiraz 2010

Bremerton – in the Langhorne Creek region of South Australia – is possibly the only winery in Australia with two talented sisters at the helm. Lucy Willson is in charge of marketing and sales and Rebecca Willson is the wine maker. So, being passionate advocates of women in the wine industry, we thought it was high time we brought one of their wines to your attention! Meet the Bremerton Selkirk Shiraz 201

Bremerton Selkirk Shiraz 2010

The Lowdown

It takes some courage (or at the very least, a good hair day) to wear a red dress. Showy and provocative, a red dress screams “Look at moi!”. A black dress, on the other hand, is go anywhere perfection.

So what would the love-child of the red and black dress be? Quite possibly this Shiraz.

First it tantalises and beguiles you with juicy, flamboyant, drips-running-down-your-chin ripe red berries. Then it veils everything in respectability with a coating of silky, velvety chocolate and a spiced oaky warmth. The flavours linger, the balance is good and full and you can’t remember what kind of hair day you’re having anyway.

Outrageously good value for this quality. (So you can still get that blow dry if you need it.)
