Alternatus Tempranillo 2014
You need this Tempranillo. And you need it now. Because you love tapas and paella and salty fried things. And you need a wine to match all those delicious morsels every time. THIS is that wine! The search is now over.
It’s ripe, it’s juicy, it’s lively, it’s racy and it’s widely appealing – the Sofia Vergara of Temps. Wine snobs may argue it’s not the most complex of wines in the world, but it’s just so darn LIKABLE. And that counts for a lot in my books.
Drinkability and wide appeal is not something that’s not always true about Tempranillos, as they can sometimes suffer from an overly acidic and/or tannic finish. That’s certainly not the case here. This is totally slurpable on it’s own as well as being typically food friendly as Tempranillos are made to be.
The Alternatus range is produced by Angove Family Winemakers as part of their expansion and focus on their original McLaren Vale heritage. And I’m loving every part of the offering. Did I mention it’s only $25.00?
