Abel’s Tempest Chardonnay 2011

The Lowdown

When storms come lashing at your door, reach for this very classy Tassie Chardonnay  to weather it out. It’s been produced in the most inclement of Tasmanian weather, but it’s that cool climate that is responsible for giving it more elegance and sophistication than a line-up of Bond girls.

Winemaker Anna Pooley has done a stellar job of balancing this fresh, vibrant and crisp wine that thrills with lashes of melon and fresh peach. A truly fabulous Chardonnay.

Abel’s Tempest is named after the violent tempests that roar off the Tasman Sea and that thwarted Abel Tasman’s initial attempts to land on Tasmania in 1642 aboard his flagship vessel, the Heemskerk.
